Firstly thanks dirty hands and others for radio/wiring info from previous posts ... much obliged.
But I've hit a snag getting the head unit out of my 88 Laser. I've taken out the screws from behind the ashtray, pulled the fascia forward a few cms, removed the screws in the side of the radio, but the damn thing moves up and down but not out. I'm sure I'm missing the simplest thing, anyone got any clues for the clueless? PS- "Q. driving it the damn thing just stalled. It is possible to start it when it is warm but it won't idle." ''A. the telstars had problems with vapor lock when hot''. ''i found the problem to be loose/disconnected vacuum hoses, probably best to check all vacuum hoses you can readily see for any loose connection'' My auto Laser idles roughly when it's warmed up, same prob as the Telstar? |
