Default ST170 fog lights.....finally in and pictures

Well as the title says. Finally got everything I needed to wire up my fog lamps. I got pictures today quicky after I washed my car. I can finally wash my car every week now(gotta love water tanks). They were rush pictures because the digital camera was flashing red. So hope you like them as much as I do.

Looking great! Well done on the installation. Did you encounter any hiccups or was it all straight forward?

Good job. Timmeh

Yeah a few hiccups on the way! Installed 1 foglamp and went to plug it in and the connection didn't fit. Lucky Steve was there to lend me a hand with getting me a part number for an adapter I needed. So after the 2 week wait for the part to come from the uk I was ready to go. I was that eager to put it in. I put it in while still in the carpark of Bayford parts. Tested the light and it didn't work. So I went back in and bought 2 brand new globes just in case. So I ended up changed the globes back at home. Still didn't work I was getting really frustrated and really pee'd off. The other foglamp worked so that wasn't the issue. I checked everything to make sure it wasn't anything I have bought. It ended up being some corrosion inside the lamp itself and it wasn't earthing the globe. So a bit of wet/dry sandpaper....and I got it working. But to actually take the foglamp surround off was the hardest bit. Took 2 people to get it out of my bumper. But everything is good now I am happy. Have to thank my gf's Dad because he figured out it was the bad earth and also helping getting the surround off.

Interesting stuff. So if in the future, someone else wanted to do the fog light mod, what part do they need to order in from the UK? Or was it available in Oz but out of stock? Just for those that might want to do the mod down the track!

It's a buy on demand part. Thats why it comes from the UK. I have already lost the adapter part number. I will try and find it for everyone

Rofl... yeah they are pricey. Swap them with Chris's before he trades his in, Ford won't even notice. Haha.
