Default Buying parts from the US

I am thinking about buying a manifold from the US and having it sent over (UPS,FEDEX or something like that)to Aus.

Can anyone tell me what other costs are involved besides the cost of manifold and freight?

If over $1000AUD ... it may incur customs duty.

Unless the nice person who sends it writes used auto parts $600 on it. _2:
There are many helpful people in the U.S parts industry, do it now while the $ is up.

They are around $550 U.S so you should be sweet...
Imo U.S post does a good job, most parts get here in 5 days...
If its over weight or price?? Then ask them to send in two seperate packages...
Or get them to write rebuilt on reciept....

Whilst on the subject can anyone recommend suppliers in the US. JEGS only ship Fedex, $130 US is a lot to pay for freight on a carburettor that I was interested in.
I'm pretty sure Summit wont ship USPS either.

Regards,
Tote

Good idea but I don't think he wants them to cut the manifold in half. :

www.summitracing.com have all different types of shipping to choose from. Choose the cheapest one and it is usually still at your door in under a week!
