Wellll my latest problem.. Sorry it's a bit hard to understand but I can't explain it very well unless you're actually sitting in the car.
Basically when I floor my car, something is happening at the rear. It's kind of like a "clunk clunk knock" struggling sound. At first I thought it was fuel related (crap fuel, need new plugs/leads or something), but now I can feel the knock so I am thinking it is probably somthing physical like the diff. If you think of an exhaust being loose and knocking under vibration it's a bit like that.. What is it this time? :togo:

Try checking the rear universal joint. If it has some slop in it, it could be vibrating and hitting the underbody.
If it's any help, a dodgy engine mount caused my engine to sit a little low in one corner, which moved the driveshaft a little bit out of place, enough to cause the rear universal joint to knock against the body under acceleration. Gee it sounded bad. But I'd check the universal joint first.

Thanks guys. Are trailing arm bushes a DIY job, or something for the pros? What do they cost?
Cheers

Bush replacement is an expert job, trailing arm removal and replacement is a DIY.
