Halo 3

Anybody picked up there copy yet? i picked up the collectors eddition this morning and the game is alot better than i thought it would be. great graphics, awesome new guns, and smarter AI with is much less frustrating. think ive done 5 of 9 levels and so far its been great, levels are very long and fun to play.

Yeah me and a mate went up to the launch, they only had limited edition copies left so picked one up.

Great game, awesome campaign, we kept playing until about 7:30am with both our 360's hooked up, with both my screens next to each other (HDTV)

Yea, i went to the midnight launch. Only stopped playing about an hour ago. finally finished it on heroic, only legendary left

Are the levels in Halo 3 less repetitive?

I enjoyed Halo 1. However, I noticed that certain levels were very repetitive. What I mean is that they merely consist of running and gunning through the same setting over and over again. e.g. 'the library' level in Halo 1. That level in particular was really boring because it just felt really repetitive.

I hope Halo 3 has more 'variety' in its levels so that the player doesn't feel like he/she is doing the same thing over and over again.

+2. LOVED halo 1 for ages, then got repetitive after a bit, Halo 2 seemed the same as one, but more levels of the same repetitive nature.

Hope Halo 3 is different, as i'll get a 360 for it if it is.

I was playing today, left my xbox on for a bit and game back and it had restarted itself, lost where i was up to. VERY annoying. Gonna start again soon, just frustrating.

i played it for about 3 hrs this morning, moved through 3 levels, my bro tho was on it from when we got home(1am) till nearly 5am got up to level 6, he finished it later in the day.

i'll play it on live tonight, better be damn good cause thats all i really bought it for, once you;ve finished the campaign thats it.

i walked into jb on tuesday, and bought it in the moarning, the guy said surprisingly there wasnt a huge amount of people waiting, probly coz they were all at ebgames at midnight lol!

Just a hint, make sure when you finish the single player game you stick around for all the credits at the end............

I played it on a mates 360 and thought it was waaay better than 2 (not so boring anymore :P), great game.

I think it's just hyped, not over hyped. Good times playing it.

Now to save for a 360...

got it on the tuesday morning and finished it on legendary later that night. Loved the campaign, especially the last level. You really have to play it in high def with digital surround sound to get the full experience. Live is good fun aswell. I want a some remakes from a few map in halo 2. Remake of terminal would be awesome.

Remakes of Beaver Creek and Foundation would also be nice.

I think the levels that are there, are too big. If you only have 6 people it's fairly impossible to get a close combat game. But it'll be good to see some new maps
