Starter Motor

So this morning the car wouldn't start...called RACQ, they checked the battery and starter motor, they were fine. Then went to the fuel tank banged on that while getting me to start the car. It started in a couple of seconds. He said that it was the fuel pump going. Does this sound right? If so...
How much does it cost to fix? How long does it take? and how do they get to it? Under the back seat? TIA |

so you have an electrical fuel pump
you may need a new fuel filter as well buy a second hand fuel pump from a wrecker it can be DIY to fix : scewdriver and pliers for hose and clips make sure the tank is below 1/4 to find location ask the wrecker or look for a fuel line and some wires that may be the fuel pump or the fuel sender
