Cone of silence engaged.
The new Nissan GTR will be made available to Australia for sale in 2009. No actual date, pricing or content details at this time. We live in interesting times....... |

Pass the cone!
Seriously though, any reason why it was not going to happen? Seems they had a more global focus this time around. RRP will be interesting, M3 range perhaps? $150k?

suspension by Lotus and tuned by Cosworth, should be a weapon.
Considering the R32 GTR cost as much as a house when it came out, I'd expect the price tag to still be beyond the average (he hehe here's the funny bit) BANG FOR YOUR BUCK import lover.

Can't wait to see one in the flesh
About time Nissan brings the goods to Oz. Apart from the 350Z they have nothing here at the moment. |

According to Mellor the Japanese pricing will equate to $77,000 Australian.
If it is that pricing it will be a tasty proposition. I wonder if the V6 will be as good as the RB26DET? |

It's worth noting that Australia was the only export market for the original R32 GTR. I didn't think $110k was over the top at the time, given that it was about the same price as a Merc 300E. Not to mention there was a couple of million dollars worth of work making the car comply with ADRs they had to recover too, which would have added $10k to each car's cost.
Lol at Dave, that's ok I don't think you are the target market! Nor am I for that matter. |

At around AU$150,000... it can be a bang for you buck. It's slightly quicker than the 911 Turbo around the ring.
The Nissan GT-R has got BIG shoes to fill though. www.gtrnissan.com (official website) |

That's a Skyline 350GT (or Infiniti G35 in North America). Not a 'real' skyline as we've come to know it (no GTR, no ATTESSA 4WD, no turbo model, no straight 6 engine). Basically comes with 350Z 3.5L Engine. Never officially sold in Aus, most are imported from NZ (which are of course imported from Japan through Nissan dealers).
