I just want to ask is the current v8 5.4 is nearing the end of its power output and when will ford bring a new range hipo V8's? with the Orion next year maybe?
I have read lately that there will be a HSV 6.2 litre LS3 coming out next year as well as a special 7 litre LS7, 375kw. Im gonna have nightmares tonight

The Orion will have the extact same boss engine as the BA/BF. The new V8 will be out by 2010.

Yeh thats correct. The XR8's will have the GT engine from the BF's and the FPV will have a tuned 320kw version of the boss

With the Boss 302 name now resurrected, just wait now until they do it with the Boss 351.

I'm not so sure that the LS3 is being released next year - thats VE series 2. I would expect that the LS3 would be released in VF. There has been no insiders talking about the LS3, but maybe HSV is just good at keeping quiet. Even if LS3 comes out next year, it will probably only be after Orion, and the two cars will probably have similar power. So in a way Holden will be playing catch-up!
