Default Noisy PCV Valve

The AUI I6 wagon has developed a really noisy PCV Valve making a loud rattling noise. I replaced it with a new one but it is still the same. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Is the car on gas?

Perhaps the pipe has a slight kink in it, causing the noise. This was the case on my neighbour's car.

Just move the piping around with the engine going and see if the noise increases or decreases.

Cheers,

GK

It is on gas..I presume you mean the pipe from the PCV, if so there is no kink. I did notice this morning that it wasn't noisy at all for a couple of minutes after starting it but gradually got noisier as it warmed up. I also replaced the new one with the old one (which hadn't been in for that long anyway) and it is a bit quieter but not much...

Thanks for the reply GK

That's the one. Just give the pipe a wiggle around a bit with the engine going and see if it improves. My neighbour's car changed the PCV tune with just the slightest wiggle, not kinks or anything.

Vacuum, a wierd thing! LOL!
