whats your perception of taste? you reckon if someone likes that interior they have bad taste? i think it looks good, and even better in flesh probably...

i reckon i have good taste in cars, i think the BF falcon is not that good looking, nor a liberty GT. an audi A6 looks great same with a 5 series beamer.

taste is such a loose term, its more preference, and i reckon it would be delightful hopping into the drivers seat of that everyday, much rather that than a BF falcon or VE commodore interior.

i think there are some fantastic design details. But as a whole its not sexy.

I personally see alot of BA in that interior.

Ford should borrow whats sexy and great about Euro/America and blend them together with a bit of aussie practicallity to create something really great.

That intrerior is just too busy - black, silver AND brown? No, no, no. And that steering wheel looks like something out ot the early 1990s. Thrice no. Again.

Given that it's as near-as-dammit the same size as the local Fairlane platform, I think it's safe to say that this will never wear a Ford Fairlane or Ford LTD badge in this country.

And did anyone else notice the roof? Sure, I'll bet it's one of those fancy "tinted glass" jobs that makes it all lovely and panoramic when the sun shines and nice and dark when it's horrible. But does the car not look as though it's been scalped from the outside?

Ford should consider applying the same treatment to those responsible for both interior and exterior design. What a wasted opportunity for a Lincoln.

IMO, the new Lincolns, as with the old ones, look like crap. I think Cadillac have it over them hand over fist.....one of the few things GM has done well. If I had to choose b/w the two brands I;m afraid I would have to pick Cadillac.

BTW the interior looks like a tarted up Ford Crown Vic interior.

Agreed. I have driven many a lincoln and the fact of the matter remains that they always seem to be overly generous on their interiors and guess what... Thats the point.
As Marcos says I would rather that interior than any BF VE type out their now, my only criticism would be that the steering wheel with the wooden pinstripe looks a little busy for my liking.

As for the size of the car, it is a 4.8 m long car roughly the size of the falcon and 300C. It is not a LWB such as the towncar which is 5.6 metres long.
Actually on that topic, the Lincoln town car has won the latest customer satisfaction award ahead of the BMW, Audi, Merc Benz, Toyota, Cadillac and any other brand available in America. That to me says that Lincoln are more than capable of building beautiful cars, and as I have driven a couple of dozen of them over the years I can honestly say that they have build quality, support, ride, economy etc that makes our cars look like woeful tin cans embellished with cheap plastic.

That may seem harsh to some but really, besides the display screen what does the BF interior have over a corolla? Both very drab, boring and uninspiring plastic fantastic looking interiors that only look good at night. I drive LTD's and Fairlanes and quite frankly you feel like you're driving a falcon. I still have an AU2 LTD and the interior on that was extremely well appointed and considered by some journo hacks to be audacious for its time. That car has a busy interior with faux wood and leather everywhere but it makes you feel like you're driving something special. In contrast the BA's-BF's have a XT interior with leather seats. In all my years owning and driving Fords I have never come across a car with all plastic door trims until I bought a BA. Then I was told the BF would be better and all they did was put suede type rubbish on the map pocket. Plain, boring, uninspiring and frankly over priced LWB cars that are not selling due to the fact that they are boring. No wonder Holden have thrashed ford for LWB's in the last few years.

Back in the 60's and 70's the falcons were a direct copy of the American falcons, so it's no wonder that the floor plans could still be close to the same thing. About the only difference was that the American falcons always used the windsor motors, not the truck V8 we needed to win races.
Some people are of the opinion that the "Yank-Tanks" are huge. I've been parked next to the 300c many times, and I think my AU is bigger. It is certainly taller.
PS: The current falcon may have Jag, or Jag influence for it's floorplan.
PPS: What has 270 HP? My AU VCT has 230HP, so the BA-BF must have a lot more HP than that.

I reckon it looks very nice, if a little bit of a Maxima ripoff in body shape. The interior is nice and suits the style of car, although as Aussie/Euro fan, I'd prefer a darker pallet (charcoals/greys/brushed silver).

I still love it, i would love to see Lincoln brought to Aus; it wont happen but i can dream.

Everyone seems to love Euro styling these days and ape the Europeans like BMW, Audi and Alfa Romeo. But dammit, i prefer a bit of variety in my cars, im sick of Euro stlyed this and Euro inspired that, i think we could do with a bit of American Excess. I suppose that is why i like the 300c so much.

But I don't like the colour scheme, the wood grain doesn't tickle my fancy at all, don't like the steering wheel, nor the dash. Gearstick is nice though.

I like Falcon interiors. They aren't fancy, but I prefer the look.

This is the Lincoln MKZ. It's smaller car but I think it looks a lot better from the front.


In this photo it looks really nice but from the rear it's disgusting and other photos show that it's too narrow.
