I have to admit it looks good, but I'd pass on it for the 300C touring.
The silhouette Looks remarkbly the same to the 300c, especially the tapered rear. Still its a good thing to be able to get a choice of powerplants in the range of vehicles available. Shame ford canned the sporty wagon in the EF XR6 wagon.

it looks very short in the cargo area, not really the typical familly wagon anymore.

It's still a wagon, the styling around the cargo area does a good job at disguising the size of the thing. The smaller side windows help in this aspect.
Has anyone noticed how far the tailgate cuts into the roof? Should make it bit more practicle when trying to load or offload items from the back. |

will be interesting to see how ugly it is, once they bring it back up to standard ride height and put the poxy 16's back on.

I think it looks great, I am a big fan of the 300c and also I have always liked most of the AUDI shapes as well. This really is the new age of wagon styling and it is unusual that the yanks have something that stacks up so well on a global scale. Holden have been smart enough to tap into this new grove as well.
For Ford I don't think it matters that much anymore as they have already killed off the long wheel base sedans and if the wagon goes stand alone and they can make a return then that is ok. If they can't then the long wheel base wagon maybe gone forever. But what do Ford care? For me the Territory fills the role of wagon better these days anyway, even if it is not the same market. Perhaps a "rep style" Territory should be marketed. |

Just waiting for a HSV version , awd or not , does not matter. For all those outr there saying it has no room in the back, you better look again. The short wheel base is only marginally shorter than my avalanche wheel base. The ve is wider. Also the sloping roof would have no bearing on loads either, as i have never had my wagon loaded right to the roof, yet still fit heaps in there. Have ford not realised yet like holden, there is no money in fleet sales where they sell 1000s of cars & make jack, or even make a loss. Looks like holden have made a niche vehicle to fill a gap, that could very well go down the same path as the terri. Why butt heads in the same platform (suv), when you can go a totally different direction & both do well. Makes sense to me. Rumors are , that the wagon actually handles better than the sedan. Will be interesting to see some road tests. A hsv senator wagon with 20x9 inch rear wheels & massive brakes would do fine.

Not for Ford - How will they compete? I spose that the Territory is the Ford sportswagon. To be honest I think that although this car may appeal to enthusiasts, it may fail - wagons are a shrinking segment, due to 4WD. This is why there is no Toyota wagon, no Magna wagon, no PROPER (not the 4 door panelvan) falcon wagon.
But I spose that that means that Holden will completely own the segment!
