Default abs light

took the ute out today and now the ABS light is staying on. I also have no brake lights. anybody got any idea whats wrong ?

my ABS light is on aswell, mechanics have no idea what it could be ... all they know is that when it's on, you have no ABS, which i found out on thursdai night!!! you might wwant to go and get that checked out!!!

as for your light? the wire or switched in the rear light has a habbit of comming lose!!

On my ute, the cable from the ABS sensors in the rear would repeatedly get caught up in the leaf springs....this would mess up the wires, and the ABS light would come on.

I have had to repair munted ABS cabling 2 or 3 times in the past.

the same is happening in my ED XR6..just in the process of cleaning the ABS sensors to see if that fixes the problem.

found the prob. earlier in the day I pulled all the fuses trying to find out why the brake lights wern't working and I put the ABS fuse back in the navigation slot by mistake; replaced the fuse back in the right spot and its all good but still no brake lights; but thats a job for tomorrow
