I dont actually like it that much, it looks good but if ford did make one I think they'd need to change the roofline or something, probably kinda like, dare I say it, the Monaro.

Could just be me, but I reckon it needs more bulk in the body at the back to make it look decent - needs more of a "wedge" shape.
Still a bloody good engineering job, and certainly unique... |

Just looks like a BA with 2 doors. So is it worth $75000 i dont think so. If you want a 2 door then you get a coupe and it looks nothing like a coupe. I can see the merit in it though must of been hardwork. At least its unique.

Bag it all you like but it would be awesome to own, and a bugger to insure I would think. Just imagine if that thing was supercharged, and if it was mine I would get some custom kit on it aswell. Id love to own that regardless if its not perfect. Thankgod its not a soft-o-matic either.

But seriously whats the point of a BA 2 door. You buy it then chop it up and spend more money on it. If you wanted something like that then why not style it into a coupe?

Ah it is a coupe....could you imagine how much tooling would cost for a one-off to change the car entirely.
I take it your not a fan of the monaro then because thats exactly what holden did. Plus that BA is definately one of a kind. So its worth the cash if you ask me, but something is only ever worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

I don't really like it. As an idea, yeah it has potential, but I wouldn't want it.

But how does a monaro not look like a commodore as its the exact same platform, and Im 99.9% sure that the rear quarter isn't that different.

I say it looks like a 2 door sedan rather than a coupe. I wouldn't mind one, but it still doesn't quite look right.

Look at the difference
Commodore http://www.peterhood.com.au/html/phh/VT%20x%20dawes.JPG Monaro http://www.usmotors.cz/old/images/po..._monaro_04.jpg Yes its just a 2 door sedan and whats the point in that. |

I would love that car, but would be even better if it was a turbo six with a 6speed! Agree it doesnt look 100% right but hey its not a production car built by a company with millions of dollars of research funds, its a one-off built by a guy with a dream i wouldnt expect it to be right in every way.

What we would have to find out is if he wanted it to be a coupe or not. If the aim was for a coupe then its far from it and if its for a 2 door sedan then it works (although rather pointless IMO). Like i said before good for having a go and thinking about something different.

Just look at the roofline of the monaro. If it was a commodore with 2 doors cut off it would still have basically the same roofline. Meh stuff it i dont really care all that much ive got eyes and i can see it.

BTW while the BA is unique, it needs more to make it look better.

Yeah, that coupe is OK but it could be a lot better. I have seen a few people who have designed a BA coupe in the style of the XA-XCs (only drawings), and they look pretty good. The roofline just doesn't look right on this one.
Wasn't this car in PFM magazine a couple of years ago?

Don't like it. Chuck it in the concept/prototype scrap heap.

Still trying to figure out what's been done to it... (don't tell me it's missing two doors out: )
Have the front doors been lengthened? If so, reskinning them to look factory would've been a bitch! Has the wheelbase been shortened? Love the creaseline (waistline?), especially in the final pic of the car being driven. C-pillars need more of a fastback thing happening, and the glassline should have a bit of an XA-C coupe "kick" to it ;) Windscreen needs a bigger rake (I think this is the term) so that it's lower overall. Full points for the mad conversion though! A lot of effort has obviously been put into it. I'd prefer a 4 door myself, but if Ford makes a coupe for the BB or BC or whatever the next one is called, methinks a sizeable loan from the bank ("it's for a house! honest!!!") might be on the cards... And the EB will have to put up with being stashed away for a while :p I hope the owner sells it quickly ;) -Dave- |
