Also, probably a good idea for you to telephone the Department of Infrastructure & Transport on +61 1800 815 272 and explain to them exactly what you want to do. Some of the people in there are pretty helpful.

I believe you are probably going to need an agent in Australia to handle the compliancing. Much of the work that has to be done, for instance fitting or modifying of things such as child restraint anchorages, new tyres, catalytic converters, charcoal canisters, mirrors, intrusion bars (if not factory fitted) and generally making sure the vehicles comply with the ADR's would probably have to be done over here.

Also, whilst I'm not sure, I'm guessing that each car would need an engineers report in respect of the RHD conversion.

You will need to convert it RHD to meet ADR's and there are RAWS here in australia that do it.

CROSSOVER CAR CONVERSIONS
FERNTREE GULLY VIC 3156
AUSTRALIA
03 97535822

MARACOONDA AUTOMOTIVE PTY LTD
223 Forest Hills Drive
MORAYFIELD QLD 4506
AUSTRALIA
07 5496 7773

MOTOR CARS INTERNATIONAL
5 MULLENGER STREET
BRAYBROOK VIC 3019
AUSTRALIA
03 9312 7855

PERFORMAX INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD
Cnr Bruce Hwy & Hall Road
GYMPIE QLD 4570
AUSTRALIA
61 7 5482 7833

If the car is a personal import it just needs to meet ADR's but I am not 100% on whether the conversion would need to be done here to meet ADR's but I guess it would be easier as the guys here would have experience in doing them

Thats the as yet unreleased Camaro getting around in camo. The Mustangs he's talking about are the latest body style.
