Oh definitely not! I'm just not digging the front as much as the rest of the car. Perhaps it would look better in the flesh.

I saw a black one driving through the Main Street of Croydon Shops about 11.30am on Saturday Morning 24/11/2007.

Seen one in an Audi Dealer on Burwood Highway near Warrigul Road.

Both times had to look twice as I didnt belive it was an AUDI...................

PS i know what a TT looks like thats why I had to look twice to make sure it was an Audi

THAT is nice. They get the styling just right, in my opinion. I like Astons as well. I'll have mine in black with manual (if they have it).

I love the look of the rear end squatting on those monster-wide tyres!

I bet it sounds nice!!!

Shav, maybe we will go halves, eh?! Hehe.

Would be a lot better if they fit the twin turbo V10 from the RS6 to it. Then it would be a true supercar. There has been talk of a V10 version but hasn't been confirmed.

It turns out they tried that, without a great deal of success!

Some of us will without doubt remember the picture of the R8 that burned down on the Nordschleife beginning this year. Rumours went that it was a diesel R8 and so on. Now after half a year it turns out that it was a twin turbo V10 version of the R8, or RS8. And apparently that V10 catches fire easily. The two extra turbos fitted on the mid-engined R8 produced too much heat for the R8 body. Audi says that they are working on a V10 producing a little bit more than 500 bhp which means no 600 bhp in the RS8 from Audi and also that the most powerful R8 probably will be no more powerful than it’s sister, the Lamborghini Gallardo.

Latest news... looks like V10 is a goer! Just need to make one that doesn't melt!

Quote:
A lot of rumours about a twin-turbo V10 Audi R8 floated around the web lately. Audi revealed that they tested R8’s with the twin-turbo V10 from the RS6 but experienced cooling problems which resulted in a number of test-mules burning down completely. With that said Audi has decided to build a brand new V10 without turbo’s from scartch.

Confirming our earlier news story, the V10 engine will be completely new and not related to the V10s in either the RS6 or the Lamborghini Gallardo. Instead it is essentially a development of the high-revving V8 from the RS4 and R8.

Engineers tell us that this new engine will shade BMW’s 500bhp M Power V10 – as found in the M5 and M6 – in terms of outright power and revs. Considering BMW’s figures, that means the new 5.2-litre engine should be good for around 520bhp and rev beyond 8250rpm.

Meh...it's good not great, typical Audi. It's got nothing (in styling terms) on your average F430, let alone it's performance.

Now you can afford one!

Quote:
You don’t have to be excessively extravagant to give a little piece of Vorsprung durch Technik this Christmas. This R8 sports car, configured specifically with stockings in mind, has been designed to make a reassuringly modest dent in the festive budget – at £45 it represents a saving of exactly £78,150 over the standard R8.

The rare and highly sought-after Audi sports car of the moment has been immortalised in zinc in 1:18 scale, enabling its fans to bypass the current twelve month waiting list for a full-size example and park one on the mantelpiece almost immediately.

The meticulously finished model is faithful to the much admired design of the full-blown original right down to the detailing of its windscreen wipers. 750 examples of its all-aluminium, mid-engined and quattro-equipped big brother will find homes in the UK in 2008, thrilling their drivers with a mighty 420PS output, 4.6-second acceleration from rest to 62mph and, for those lucky enough to be visiting an Autobahn next year, a 187mph top speed.

The diminutive R8 is now available from Audi Centres nationwide, details of which can be obtained by calling Audi Customer Services on 0800 699888 or by visiting www.audi.co.uk and clicking on ‘Find Centre’.
