Default Follow me home lighting & global lock - Mondeo

Any one got any idea how to set the follow me home lighting? The Ford demo I have doesn't come with any books. Same goes for the global lock (where it shuts all windows etc). I did it once, but I've never figured it out again.

If its anything like the focus, with the car off, pull the stalk as if your high beaming.
For global close, hold the lock button on the keyfob for 4 seconds.

Lights stay on for 30 secs after locking the car so you can see where your walking, and global close - when you lock the car it closes the windows and sunroof for you. The Focus CL-up has the follow home lights and LX-up has global close.

i wish the LR had something like this, i mean my mums '01 commodore turns the headlights off when you open the door, and you can put the windows up after you've turned the car off and removed the key.

It's a pain in the backside, just one of the little things that bug me about my car.

Will this kick the follow me home lights on for good? Hopefully I won't have to do this every time I get out!

Global lock is good, thanks for the hints!

Why unfortunately? I think the follow me home lights are excellent. The gobal lock has its benefits and downside too. I like leaving the sun roof open as it lets the heat in the car out. I remember the Ka had a system when you locked the door, the global lock worked every time, shutting the sunroof. Now that would be unfortunate.

Thanks for your help!

You do need to do the high beam thing every time you get out, what a . In my missus's XT, if you put the lights to auto, they stay on for 30 secs, no high beam manipulation required. That's pretty rough in a car that's meant to be a rival to a 3 series BMW.

Well, I've been pulling my stalk like a man possessed and I can't for the life of me get FMH lighting to work??? That's the high beam stalk in the LS Focus by the way, keep it clean :P
