G'day guys have recently acquired a transmission from another meber of the forum(Gary) not sure of ur screen name mate sorry. but yer the time will be coming to put it in and i would not have the slightest idea of how to do it. So an idea is to put on a bbq day/ install day. This would be out Melbourne Airport way/ Sunbury. would anyone be interesded in this?? or would someone be interested in making a few dollars to help install it with me??
let me know suggestions are all welcomed. Car in subject is a EA falcon 4 speed auto and it is having another auto put in it. the auto going in is form another EA (fairmont) and am told is working perfectly. So a straight sway im told.. Dimi

Dimi,
While you've got the box out it would be wise to put in a new rear main crank seal, if it hasn't recently been done. Old seals have a habit of starting to leak after a gearbox change, then it's pull the box all over again. Peace of mind only costs a few dollars extra. Merry Xmas, hope all goes well. Paul |
