I tried to get "NO REGO" but they would not issue them. Something about their computer system not being able to process any offence notices.....

Im happy with mine 'RUKIDN' (are you kidding) and dont have any interest in selling but i guess if it came to it id take the best offer, i think its a good plate and would be a popular plate but still bugger me on what price id put it at.
i agree with most and dont know how people put some ridiculous price tags on number plates.. i guess its like business if the customer wants it they have to buy it at the price its selling for which can be what ever the bloke with the personal plate wants, even if it is some laughable price. BTW not a personal attack just my view on some of the crazy plates for sale out there. Just take what you feel is a decent amount i rekon, good luck mate

I think the best plates I've ever seen were, a burgandy AU near my place with the plates 'UTOSSA' And an old 1960's Volvo Convertible with the plates 'STOLEN'

Supply and demand. People want a personal touch to their car and one way is from number plates because no one else will have them. I have been offered a few dollars for my TCKFRD plates but they are not for sale.
I do know that the numberplate VIP sold for $83,000 in NSW.

My (standard issue) prefix is AWB but since the Australian Wheat Board debacle last year no one wants it

Just last week got some Personal Plates for my XR8 Ute: XRGRR8 .
(XRGREAT) Looks the goods & only cost a one off fee of $170.00 for the life of the plates. I've been getting quite a few thumbs up from other XR drivers! |

It's good in the NT. When I was up there, $140 got you either 6 Letters or Numbers on a themed plate (Mostly based on the NT Towns) or 7 Letters or Numbers on standard NT plates.
I've still got one of my DARRAN plates off the old XH on the wall at home. Cheers Darran Darran

In Perth we have some good ones as you can have upto 10 or 11 letters including spaces and no Dots in the middle. Does not have to include numbers either. thats why I have BOSS XR8
the deler offered me $1000 when I had them ready to put on my car prior to picking up my BA XR8 in 2003. Had them in 2002 when I read the boss was coming back, but they belong witt the car you get the odd funny one around too, TI VOOM (MOOV IT when looking in the rear mirror) was one I had a laugh when he was behind me,

We Have QIK 006 (nsw rego) on our XR6 Turbo, We have offers from three different people on a regular basis, Funnily enough they are all around the same amount and usually step up the offers at around the same time. Started out with $250, Have held out for a year and all the offers are over a $1000 now, Was thinking about waiting till $1500 - $2000, but I will have too have a new set of plates waiting for me to swap over before we do....

good old nsw hey, seems like most states get the fun of playing around with their plated yet we gotta pay, again, for ours. big big shame, even the simple ones like the initials and then 4 numbers cost ya these days. only been around 5 or so years too. have seen a local fella with GTHOOZ and XY0351 around here, GT ones are on a nissan i think, but the dude owns a couple of good original GT's to back it up. Also saw PHOONY plates on an F6 for sale on carsales, reckon they'd be a good buy for someone.

: Yes, It means that It is a quick 6, and to have qik x6t would mean anotther $350 a year to have the plates, the way they are are only $90 a year on the premium plates, or $30 a year on the normal plates... |
