And you honestly cant see a reason why the Police might want to keep news photographers from buzzing around a crash scene on the F3 where there are always terrible pile-ups and deaths??

Sorry, but your original post seems too much like a well scripted whinge session than an actual concern that your civil liberties are being impeded.

Whether David is / isn't within his legal rights isn't a topic for AFF to decide. There are legal processes / right of appeal etc that should be followed, and airing these items on a publicly accessible forum such as AFF may jeapordise any chance of having the case heard without prejudice.
Whilst the comments to date have been 'civil', threads of this nature deteriorate with regular monotony, and as such fall into the 'controversial topics' category (as mentioned in the site Terms and Conditions.
David - I wish you every success in your appeal.
