Is there a major flaw in the design of the front suspension of the Falcon and Territory vehicles? Why I ask.......
We have RTV utes at our work place and one of our sampling officers had to put his car in for a service. When he went to pick it up, they told him they had replaced the front ball joint in his suspension due to failing. The next day, i had a rep come out to my house and he was driving a 2004 Ghia Territory. I commented on the nice car he was driving. He told me that he wouldn't recommend it to anyone as there was rust developing in the engine bay and he was still driving around with failing ball joints in the front suspension. He asked the service department how critical it was, they just laughed and said there was a wait on ball joint's and to drive it till it fails. How dodgy's the service department!!!!!!!!!!! If this has been discussed before, please point me in the right direction and i appologise in advance. |

Unfortunaly it is well know in the Territorys. Have a look in the Territory forum and you will find many comments on failing ball joints and noisy suspension.

the front suspension on the territorys, first you replace the lower arms with the ball joints you cant purchase seperately, then you do the top ball joints because the noise still isn't gone the you do the stabelizer links with the bushes and the noise still is there then you do the front arms ball joints and it still has a bloody noise. all a mess if you tell me. don't mind the spelling!
