Just a quick one out of intrest. Did anyone here DERYN HINCH talking about GREHEM KENNARDY?? and his so called death due to aids? Which has been shot down as faulce. Needs to be sacked if you ask me. Although he is just a journo doing his job. Any opinions????

I think he's just doing his job, everyone knows what he's like. Personally I don't care if Graham is gay, that was his private life. It's not going to change my opinion of him, I still think he was funny.

I think Hinchy just loves the contraversy. What better way to boost ratings on a sagging radio show? Isen't he famous for opening his trap and being jailed for it? What l find offensive is the attack on someone that cannot defend themselves.

Did Hinch say that GK was gay or just that he had AIDS? You can get AIDS from things other than same sex partners. Blood transfusions is one way.

He said that he was gay, that Graham Kennedy had lots of partners and didn't die of pneumonia but instead of an AIDS related disease. He said that if he was proven wrong that he would apologise today, he was proven wrong and he still hasn't apologised.

People, as has been said, he only said it to get himself in the spotlight, which he achieved, anything to make the public talk about him, even if it's everyone saying what a ******** he is.

If nobody reacted to his bullsh*t ramblings, it wouldn't have the effect he so craves, and we'd never hear from him again.

He has shown he knows how to manipulate the media into talking about him, and therefore make his ratings go up (all the people who decide to listen to what he is going to say in response and what else he has to say) and make him more valuable - after all, it's crap like that that sells newspapers, gets ratings, etc.

Sadly, even if he was fired as a result of this, some other media outlet would give him a job before he's left the building, they'd be tripping over themselves to give "the human headline" a job with them and increase their ratings or circulation numbers... :(

Graham Kennedy doesn't deserve this disrespect that has been shown towards him, he brought a smile to the faces of many people over several generations, and that is how people should remember him.

Hinch, no matter what you try, you will never be as popular as Graham Kennedy, and by talking the way you have about a dead man only shows how low you will stoop. Shame shame shame!

Graham Kennedy RIP, Australian television wouldn't have been the same without you. You may now be gone, but the laughs and smiles you brought to the Australian people will not be forgotten.

I agree the King is dead long live the King,however and as much as this may upset some ppl the human headline has more often than not been right in the end.
GK lover of twenty years is going to reveal all about their homosexual relationship in the next week or so and in the snippet for the lead in he said the King was not averse to many partners.

Personally I could'nt care less if he was gay or calathumpian I grew up with the King on tv and as far as I'm concerned no-one will ever take his Crown,he did things that even now they cringe at and would'nt think of doing today.

Final word if Hinch ends up right who cares.............just remember the King and the laughs he gave to all.

The guy that wrote GK's autobiography said that just before he passed away he showed signs of having the "black death" which are dark black legions on his face, directly related with AIDS. Derryn read this and jumped to the conclusion that he must of had AIDS, obviously putting two and two together... He was a homosexual and he died of Nmonia. Most people who have AIDS die of Nmonia becuase it breaks down the immune system and makes your body vulnerable to all types of illnesses (GK was also a heavy chain smoker) Nobody ever actually dies of "AIDS". Glad to see you guys knew all that heh...

I listen to Derryn every day. I love his show. He was not in the wrong when he made the statement but he should of apologised when he was proven wrong, end of story. Every body who called up were homophobic biggits that didnt want to know the truth and didnt want to accept it. None of them called GK a "homosexual". It was always a "homo, gay or poof" Its disgusting. They carry on about how much they loved him... pfft.

Im happy Derryn is around. He says what most other guttless journas on 3AW cant.

For him to get thrown out of the CP foundation because of those comments is an absolute disgrace. Derryn poured so much heart, sweat and tears into this, he made a huge difference. Its absolute bullshit. Obviously sounds like you guys dont know what he has done for victims of crimes. This includes helping victims of rapes, murder, poorly treated wives, molested children... just to name a few. If you dont like him, dont listen. He does alot of good work outside of the radio station.

you are right in the fact that Derryn Hinch has done allot of good for the down trodden in Australia BUT he should make a public apology to the late Graham Kennedys family now that it has been proven that he was wrong about the AID's scandal.

perhaps his initials are well suited to him....DH! it is this sort of thing that he will be remembered for, no matter how much good he has done.

I guess he should apologize, and he has apologized for the AID's bit of it, but the gay bit, well thats fair enough to talk about. My Mum never knew that and is now disgusted by Graham! She is sad that she ever laughed at his jokes. lol. sad for her, as she liked him. Must be plenty of older people that did like and now dont like him for that. (For many people being gay is not normal)

Oh, and 86% of aids victims are gay, so you could draw this conclusion fairly easily, as well as him dieing young.

Finally!! someone who isn't swept up in the media hype. Anyone else would've assumed he died of AIDS given the information!!

Oh and for the record to the people who mentioned it... Schapelle got off VERY lightly! All things being fair, she would've got death or life in gaol. Just because she's young, female, and attractive, doesn't mean she's innocent. The media took it for a run, and everyone was sucked in by it.

Indonesian law only needs possession of the drugs to find you guilty. She knew it was there anyways I reckon and is guilty. If you go to another country, then you have to abide by thier laws. She was found with 4kgs of marijuana, FACT!!! Yet she was only able to suggest possible ways of how it may have gotten there?! Look at the scales people, by indoesian law she's 110% guilty.

Just think of all the other drug runners behind bars for life or on death row in Bali while all this media hype is going on. They never had the media and public behind them - maybe they were'nt young/attractive enough?!!

Schapelle got off lightly.
