Hey all,
Did a search without any help so, Am getting new tyres on my 06 focus with 205/55 16 tyres standard. I have a few choices, federals at $140 ish, BF Goodrich at $ 167 and GT Radials at $ 171 fitted. Any one had any good or bad experiences with these , or can offer any good alternatives. Im after a good allround tyre. No cheap crap, but I dont need a race spec semi slick either. Im thinking of going for the BF Goodridges by the way |

After trying lots of brands at the moment my cars wear HANKOOK or FALKEN, wich I am very happy with grip and wear.

Would never personally put Falken or Pirelli on any of my cars again, great in the dry, nightmare in the wet I have found from experience

Try Bridgestone Potenza RE001. Great feel, great grip... I endorse it.

Don't mind Yokohama. Comfortable tyre, good grip in wet and dry. Only trade off is that they are a softer tyre and wear alittle bit faster then others. At least that is what I have found.
Haven't tried the Bridgestone but, from the reveiws, they seem to get good reports. |

Thanks for the replies.
I got Federal SS 535's. Look pretty good and are better than the original Goodyear NCT's. Just have to wait for some rain to see their wet weather grip. |

A lot of people have said the Goodyear NCTs aren't very good tyres but I reckon they grip pretty well and are fairly quiet.
I don't think I'd ever buy the same tyres twice though, it's good to try something different. |

Not a fan of the NCTs at all. Can't wait to put something better on the Focus.

I thought the NCT werent a bad medium price tyre until i put new swaybars on my car. Now its screaming for more grip. I think the Focus tho deserves better tyres from standard, just because they are such a good handling car.
