Most cop cars have wear on D/S seat through holster damage.

i wouldn't buy a chaser, they're thrashed, no matter how well it's been serviced. Not sure why people find it such a thrill to own one, but each to his own.

I very much doubt that police officers would ignore somebody who has "accelerated straight into the back of the cop car" and left it with a "crook chassis". I suspect you are exaggerating just a little...

A LITTLE!?!?!?!? That's like saying "Ford's marketing is only a "little" bit rubbish".

I know this thread isn't a pro-ex-cop car thread but my BA XT has been brilliant since day 1.

Pro - every single service imaginable is undertaken during its life on the dot when due

I wouldn't hesitate considering the above when buying an ex cop chaser XR6 turbo - I could find 10 worse examples for 10K more that have been privately owned.

BF's didn't come with a cup holder lid? BA's did, but the car in question is a BF.

both my cars are x-cop cars

yes... the turbo has spent many hours idoiling whist doing arbitarty tasks
but both are in tip top condition... my brother also has a xr6-turbo x-police... they come with police pack brakes and alot of additional wiring ;)

what till give it away is the signs of where they have had the lightbar fitted... (dints the roof)
the additional wiring, damage to the fire wall plug, place where the computer has been mounted (2 x fixed brackets on the seats bolted down with the seat bolts)

and a few other things oh... and a big sticker in the book that has the order details and will say XXXX police force...

i know someone on these forums works for the police and might be able to find out the history, ill see if i can dig his pm's up

My EX HWP XR6T needed discs. Site sponsor race brakes sold me premium replacement (for PBR system) discs and pads for $800 less than Ford.

Ex HWP and ex taxi's have been good buying for me.

easiest way to check for an ex cop car is to check for side airbags.

XR's dont come with side airbags unless its a ex cop car. its a part of the police pack . side air bags, extra wiring , lsd diff , premo brakes

What model? I'm preety sure my AU doesn't have them lol. And I thought the compliance plate would be an easy way of identification?

we are talking about real cars now. :

the compliance plate does not state if its a cop car or not.
