Fit doesnt have anything to do with any Ford product that i know about.

351...... not overly special.

I reckon you should be happy if you get $300 for it.

whatever the buyer wants for them.and if no ones wants to pay the price for it the price may come down..prices will always go on demand but my guess would be no more than 2 grand

i've had several custom plates on my various cars, and i can tell you what they're worth, what you paid for them, minus about 20%, for being second hand. Anyone who flogs plates for ridiculous prices is dreamin'

yeah, nothin special about that plate combo, I would say if they were in perfect nick that they were worth what you paid for em tops. A few years ago in Qld you used to be able to ask Qld Transport when getting new plates to look at the numbers, I have had several sets of plates with 351 in them, all you had to do was ask nicely, and they cost the same as everyday plates. They dont do it now days.

Are they special issue? Or just run of the mill plates that just happen to have that combo?

I saw a very nice combo that was on an old Torana, but the plate was more suited to a ford, ie it was like WKD 351 or FRD 500 etc.

When I made a comment about the plates, he just said that they are as old as the car and are not transferrable or able to be sold etc.

Havn't looked into if that is true or not, but there must be some truith to it as I have seen cars advertised with the word "not transferable" after the plates.

Ebay, and about 7 days will tell you what they are worth.

Not being rude but why would they be worth anything, is it just because its got 351 on it if thats the case well you bummed out because you put FIT in front of it and for the life of me i cant think of any reason what so ever that would be worth anything.

I'd pay less than what Vicroads would sell them for... unless I was an epileptic who drove a Clevo.

What did you expect mate, you come on here with a number plate that has 351 on it and you expect to jump on the ban wagon and make money as all the FORDS are these days.
Go and stick FIT 308 or FIT 350 on a plate and get back to your Holden Forum and see what the response is. If that fails you might have to look at a new car hopefully your not to big though as there only small, they call them a SMART car it could help you in the Future.

arthur00,

assuming they were standard issue plates in that combination, They would only be worth a small premium ( hundred of dollars, not thousands I would think), to someone for example who may have those initials AND own a 351.

Apart from that, I'm sure you've sniggered at a joke (politically correct or otherwise) some here may not have. Just chill and don't take anything here personally. If that were the case with all posts, no one would be here!
