Hi all,
This was run as a commodore cruise last year, but there will be all makes coming this year. We are again organising a charity cruise to raise funds for Red Nose Day, the annual charity day for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) research. Last year we had 70-100 cars cruise from Silverwater to Palm Beach (Street Commodores came along to cover the event), followed by a BBQ and a raffle (prizes included a HRT Jacket, HRT kids toys, signed Panthers football). All up we raised $1,100 for SIDS research, so the day was a great success. This year the cruise will be on Saturday 18 June, which is the Saturday before Red Nose Day. The meeting points will be: Richmond McDonalds - 9am Panthers - 9.30am Silverwater Boat Ramp - 10.30am (leave at 11am) Then off to Palm Beach Here is a link with some directions: http://www.pnc.com.au/~kurts/rednose.htm The cost will be $15 per car (which includes a raffle ticket for the prizes), and each passenger will need to buy a red nose for $2. Keep an eye out for this weeks Hawkesbury Gazette, as it will be promoted. Prizes: Dinner for 2 at the Glenroy Thai restaurant and a bottle of wine, courtesy of the Sydney Magic Soccer club and Glenroy Thai at the Glenroy Hotel, Alexandria. A Saturday pass to the AC Delco East Coast Nationals (the opening event for the 2005-06 ANDRA Championship Drag Racing season) plus a polo shirt and baseball cap both embroidered with the WSID logo, thanks to John at WSID. 2 services thanks to Ultratune 2 $100 service vouchers thanks to Winford Ford Dealership (just to prove it is an all car cruise!) A Jason Bright Model Car, Young Lions model car, Todd Kelly cap, and an HSV cap thanks to Hawkesbury Valley Holden. A Nos Sterring wheel cover and belt protecter pack thanks to Auto-One Windsor A Playboy seat cover and belt protector pack also thanks to Auto-One Windsor Some hair care packs thanks to Marie's Hair to Dye For at Hobartville A CD pack thanks to Richmond Records. The good people from Joe's Meats and Baker's Delight from Richmond have agreed to donate some sausages and bread for the day. Affordable Amusement Hire of North Richmond will bring along a fair floss machine for the kids. The Hawkesbury Gazette will be covering the cruise. I hope to see as many of you as possible come along, let me know if you are coming along and I will start a list up. So far we have 40+ cars confirmed. |
