What I don't understand is how the 2WD can pass but the 4WD fails.

Not that it really matters because Toyota aren't going to sell a heap of them anyway.

Their sales have already dropped off quite severly, and I'm guessing the trend will continue. They are also more likely to sell more FWD then the AWD models anyway.

You'll find the sales dropped off due to supply constraints. Order bank is still quite strong..
