Default Cobra Stripes Or Not

So the question is....(puts flame suit on : ) Do Cobra stripes look any good. They start at your bumper and work over your car, bumper, grill, bonnet, roof, spoiler, boot, rear bar.

They will be blue in colour and two of them will run over the car...
Have a look at my pics and see if you think it will look any good lol.

MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL. SO FILL EM IN PPL

i think if you look at bucknaked's car it kinda answers your question, depends if you have a stock XR it wont look good, the kit isnt fat enough, but if you have the T series kit... then hell yes!

I did it to my XC (see avatar) and love it...the stripes are now quite a bit wider than you can see on my avater- many won't like them but it is personal choice...make it how you like it!

How did yes get 17 votes. They look shite. There was a white AU with stripes in canberra I used to laugh at on a daily basis.

^^^^ I know that car and agree 100%.

I think subtle stripes look good on darker AU's, personally, blue on white looks very nasty from the few that I have seen. I thought they looked cheap and tacky. The T3's and XR6 on this forum that have them look really good, particularly Bucknaked's XR6. Unfortunately I think side stripes look awful too.

The Original is always the best.

The stripes suited the XA-C body due to that sexy muscular shape.

Have to say I love them on my car- I'm actually having the front bar and bonnet repainted and having the stripes painted on after Christmas and the car clearcoated again to make it nice and deep

It's your car- you do what you like. I never invented the cobra stripes, but was probably one of the first on this forum to do it to a newer car a few years back and it seems to have really taken off- some of the nicest cars here have them, but it's personal choice. My personal opinion is that white and silver will be the hardest colours to work with as natural contrast tones will be very dominant on the light colours, and getting the right width is the trick- this will differ depending on your tastes......

Here's two of mine showing a couple of different styles- I started off with the two and ended up with the thinner ones too, which I much prefer.

The right colour will make it look meaner. I think sliver would look better than blue.

just to nitpick proper cobra stripes are really three stripes in one- a wide navy blue stripe with a thin bright blue pinstripe on either side. and yes i think they are hot...if done right.. i will be doing something similar soon as my kit goes on. if you like it do it!
