My BAGT costs $771.85 P/A to register
$280.60 for CTP.
$448.80 for registration
$42.45 for trafic improvement fee.
Plus an extra $45.00 if paid late.

My XM (6 cylinder) costs $643.55 P/A to register.

That trafic improvement fee seems to be taking money under false pretences.

Cheers
Keith

Cheers Keith.

I think it depends on what CTP you have. I changed mine but its only $5-$10 cheaper i think through RACQ now. I got my roadside assistance cheaper if i put my CTP through them also. My 6CYL rego was $634, that was last month and the XY V8 was $140 i think for club rego (usually $711 i think last time i paid it).

When you factor in how many more kilometers of road Queensland has to where you live it will obviously become more costly to maintain a proper service.

ah even when I was in Vic it was cheaper. To be exact my rego for my gas guzzling clevo is less than $500! And its still on vic plates.

Also, tassie has some of the best (and worst..LOL) roads in Oz, an average the major motorways are better than Vic.

Is it even more costly NOT to maintain a proper service? Maybe that would explain QLD rego costs!

Yes, the rego may be more expensive in Qld, but we not have to pay an annual fee for personalised plates !!!

and we also get a state governement paid rebate of 8 cents per litre in petrol...

well atleast we are meant to get that... some times it's questionable if we are in fact getting that saving... but all in all.. fuel should be 8 cents a litre cheaper up here than down south....

the current price cycle of servo's in my area is from 119.9 to 134.9
