G'day people ....
I have a TF Cortina that i am messing around with as an entry level circuit race car (club level). Currently the car is a 250 xflow 4 speed B/W box and diff .... What I need to know is what do I need to change the car from a 4 stud pattern to a 5 stud pattern with front and rear axles ..... I also want to change from drums on the to discs .... All help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Daryl.

Well the front is easy as CRS and Hoppers Stoppers sell a kit to bolt Falcon brakes up.
With the rear you have a few options. 1/ fit a Centura diff 2/ re drill your axles and drums 3/ Get a Falcon diff narrowed. I would guess that if you used an AU diff you could get away with narrowing the housing 93mm per side and using the old left axle as the right axle and shortening the old right axle 186mm so paying for only one re spline. This is what I did with an XB diff for my Capri so the wider AU diff should come close to Cortina width. Youll have to do the measuring yourself.. |
