I just got sum clear front indicators for the ED and want to fit sum clear side repeaters, either the AU or BA ones. Ive noticed a lot of people around here have done that & I would like to know whats involved in making them fit correctly as they have different mounting styles.

you can fit au indicators fairly easily.. it just involves trimming it a little bit to make it fit in but its really easy. ba ones i guess shouldn't be too difficult to fit as well

There was a website that showed you how to do it, but I deleted the link not too long ago thinking I wouldn't need it anymore. But like neb says, you need to trim 2 of the 4 black clip holders off the plastic to fit the plug into the AU repeater. It's quite easy once you know what your doing.

Its easy, I did it on the weekend with no instructions.
But AU1 ghia clear indicators and use your original globe. There are 4 soft rubber knobs which stick into the original lens. The new lens only needs 2 so cut 2 off. Then depending which way you want to face them you will need to trim the plastic door mould things to enlarge the hole. A stanley knife is all you need to do it.

if they're backwards... i hope they cause too much drag when you're on boost and they pop out and then when you hit the brakes they bounce back in facing the right way |

Do I have to cut metal to fit them forwards? It looks like I do. Forwards is the skinny end facing forward yeah?

yeah forwards is skinny end facing forwards... they look alot better facing forwards its worth the extra effort. you don't cut any metal. you just have to cut a little bit of the plastic guard so it fits in.. just cut away little bits until you can push it in hard and it clips in. if you push it hard enough it might just clip in forwards now... maybe

well here's how i did mine, all i did was cut and file the large clip so it was basicly a flat peice of plastic then the tension holds it in. also you are better off using a EF-AU bulb holder as they dont leak and look better!

i left a little bit of the "hook" part on my clip, it actually holds the repeater to the metal of the guard.....they are verry hard to take out...

I did the ones on Jareds Car (oneredED)
F4Rk!? Whats this about filing and bulb holders!? I used gaffer tape to hold the bulb in, and jammed the repeater in with brute force! To easy!! : I also told him to dip his bulbs in some clear orange paint :dr_Evil: ... Donno whether he did that yet! they do look good though the right way around, they suit the cars really well. Thanks for the advice guys, I've had the car for two weeks now & it's got the clear indicators all fitted up & a set of 15 inch EB mags (I think they're the sports one's, I've seen them on many EB XR6's tho). Next week will be suspension, then a tidy up of the paint.
