Default What i've been up to the last 2 days:

Just thought i'd post up my efforts for the last 2 days, pretty happy with the effort concidering i've never really done this kind of thing before...

BAMBOO FLOORING:

The beginning, sealed the floor ready for the bamboo boards:


90% complete, last of the cuts and edging tomorrow:

Heh thanks mate, theres 6 square metres there and it only cost me a carton

nah no pandas here, but bamboo is brilliant to use as a timber....grows back within months.../hippy :
I actually saw a house built from it, the whole house, everything from beams to woven panels to more solid looking panels. Looked a lot better than it sounds. There were parts I couldnt believe were bamboo as they were like sheets of timber, sure enough, bamboo.

In parts of Asia they scaffold high rise buildings with it, strong stuff.

Yeah i'm quickly learning that it is brilliant stuff, it's come a long from the days of the old bamboo lounge chairs that squeaked and creaked from every movement and looked bloody ugly
