And Camry is medium, and Aurion is large. Apart from the engine it's the same bloody car. that's the biggest con of the lot

According to the article the Mondeo is taller, wider & heavier than a Falcon and just 100mm shorter.
It's a bit weird to call it a medium car. |

Mind you, exterior size is no indication of interior space. One could argue that interior space is really the im portant issue

Mondeo isnt heavier than a Falcon, far from it. Its anything from 150kg - 200kg lighter.

From Ford Oz's website, the Mondeo Zetec weighs 1562kgs and the diesel 1604kgs.
They only show the weight for one of the new Falcons and that's the 6cyl petrol XT at 1704kgs. Strangely, I couldn't find weight figures for the current Falcon. |

Have a look at the specs on the new Honda Accord. It beats the Mondeo in some areas and it will be one of its main 'medium segment' competitors.

Ah, yes, but VFACTS says the Honda Accord is a large car. Longer than Commodore and (old) Falcon. Substantially bigger than Aurion all around. V6 is 202kW
The Accord Euro will be medium size.....yet Australia's Best Cars (RACV, NRMA, RACQ etc etc) says the Honda Civic is a mid sized car. Confused yet??
