The Ausrtalian's are still struggling as they lost their opening match to the Bangladesh in the tri series one day match and arguably one of the greatest upset in sports history.
Unbackable at the start of the day against a side that has never come close to Australia had just won 9 of it's 107 privious one day matches. After making a fair5- 249 Bangladesh overhauled them 5-250 with four balls to spare. Can you imagine what the English press is going to write they will have a field day with their headlines and giving it to us. Cheers John

Well, the Aussie team are back at it tomorrow (today?), so they haven't really had a lot of time to take it all in. Let's hope they aren't shell shocked from this last defeat and can jump back into form!! AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!!

I say good...a good *** kicking every now and then might just put the fire back in their bellies. Roll on the ashes... I think there will be another *** kicking this time handed out to the poms from us.
Let them write whatever they want... the ashes will STAY ours.

Why don't you send your boys over here, just while you're on a losing streak. We could use a win against you blokes.

Being a die hard cricket supporter I was dumbfounded that we could lose to Bangladesh.
For those who don't follow cricket I will compare the performance to some other feats: - It would be like a team of pigmy savages from Tanzania beating the American Dream Team in Basketball - It would be like a group of penguins beating Kenyan Olympic runners in a Marathon in the Kalahari desert - It would be like Australia beating anyone in Soccer As you can see, it was a fair feat. Well done to Ashraful on making a Century (off 100 balls) and to Mashrafe Mortaza who bowled sensationally at the beginning of the innings.

No, we lost by 3 wickets.
Kevin Pietersen smashed 91 of 65 balls to win it for them, Vaughan made a slow 50, no one else did much with the bat. Harmison took 5 wickets, including 3 in one over to get rid of Gilly, Ponting and Martyn which also won it for them. Hussey batted superbly for 84, justifying the fact that he is finally in the team, and should have been ages ago. Clarke also made 45. Better performance by the Aussies, but Gillespie and Kasprowicz have real issues with their bowling.

The Aussie's may have lost the cricket but well done to Kiwi, Michael Campbell, who has taken out the Honours at the US Open Masters Golf Championship in USA!!

Well the poms have really stuck it to them again. I wonder what excuse Ricky is going to use now.Maybe they could ask the poms not to pla that man Pieterson..91-then a hundred i think.

Geez, we are losing our way. I expect it to be just a hiccup rather than the beginning of the end.
As long as we get it together for the test series, that's the important one!!!

i agree, get it together for the test series because thats what counts.
I do think the inclusion of Michael Bevan back into the side is going to lift the batting side of things but i guess the issues at the moment are mainly with the bowlers. although you cant lay the blame directly just on the bowlers its a team game not one on one. |
