Ah yeah manual is my preference, but i have driven a BF GTP with 6spd auto and a turbo territory with the 6spd auto and i like them. much much better than the 4spd in my xt wagon.
As for club events we have one a month, sometimes more. Check out the clubs website www.tastickforclub.asn.au it has the full club event calendar on there.

Cheers
Tim

Guys, with out sounding like a snob or being a jerk. The forum here is for the Ford Performance Vehicles club of Tasmania. This club caters for 1992 – current, XR6, XR6 Turbo and XR8 falcons, sedans, utes and wagons made by Ford or Tickford. It also caters for the whole Tickford vehicle and FPV range. We also have general membership for people that do not have a genuine vehicle as mentioned above, but have a modified ford that fits in the same era of cars. The membership entitlements are exactly the same for Full and General, it’s just for the database that we segment the members up according to the vehicle they own.
Now whilst off topic chit chat about the Tassie car scene or events coming up is fine in this forum section (please feel free to keep posting) but it is predominately here for the club and its members. Its great that the southern members want find out how many there is but, if you are interested in having a club run and have a vehicle that fits into the club category’s please check out the club website and our events or PM me for more info. We would like to see as many Ford enthusiasts that share the same passion as us join the club and make it bigger and better.

Cheers
Tim - Club President

For those that are interested in organising a cruise / meet up AFF provides an events/cruises/get together forum for it's Victorian / Tasmanian members HERE
We actively encourage club discussions in club areas, and if members wish to post events that are not already on a clubs calendar of events then, as a courtesy, to approach the club via the pm system prior to posting in the club areas.

How many of the Tassie members go to the super sprints ????

I see very few Fords - a few Esky's, Capris.

You people don't know what you're missing out on..........

What's the point of owning a '''FPV''' if it is not used for performance occassionally?

I am in Hobart as well, just bought a BA XT... glad to be back in a Falcon. I have owned an EA and an EL before. I have met a few of you from the FPV club through my association with TasCommodores (my username is "Falcon" on their forum). Glad to see there are lots of Ford fans around

Cool, no need to apply, the car fits the requirements for general membership so if your happy to join then club then you just fill out the form and pay the money. easy altho if you come on a club run with the 'others' as your passengers they cant wear red hehe

Welcome Rob, are you coming for a look on Sunday at the Shannons car show? If you are there should be a handful of the club members to say hello and introduce ourselves to you.
