well i degreased my engine bay today, and gotta be honest, there is a huge WTF factor... the oil cap has lost all its colour, some of the intake piping has gone almost white and the rocker cover looks pretty cruddy after initially looking really good...
so i was wondering if there are shops in sydney that specialise in engine bay detailing?

At the dealership i work at we water down the degreaser ALOT!, for this reason, it can also stain your paint & fade rims & hubcaps, im guessing you used some kind of tin spray degreaser, which is really strong & undiluted

Yeah did you buy the aerosol stuff of the 5L bottle type stuff? I find the aerosol tin does that, it's quite strong, so get the 5L bottle, dilute it a bit and spray it on with a plaspak or something, let it sit for a bit then get another plaspak with water and just spray it clean. If its caked on, use a brush to scrub it a bit after spraying it. Also, get the engine warm to the touch, as this loosens the gunk up a bit.
As for engine detailers, wouldn;t have a clue, but try ringing around your local car detailer joints and ask them.

Use tyre shine for all of the plastics in your engine bay, and use Armourall multi purpose cleaner for the rocker cover and the engine bay itself.
I use this method on my EB and it comes up nice.
