ANYONE INTERESTED??
Hey guys, Anyone interested in putting their cars to the test on a National Dyno Shootout competition?? (MAY 10th for round 1 FORD) Its a three round system, points are gained each round, added up and the winner from each category in each state is invited to take on the Holden boys at the Clipsal 500 National Dyno Shootout in a FORD V HOLDEN comp. Crowd and atmosphere is awesome at the Clipsal. Give it a go, dont need to be the biggest mamma on the block. Check out the website designed especially for this at http:www.dynoshootout.com.au and see if the dyno numbers match up. There are 4 categories: 6 Naturally Aspirated 6 Forced Induction 8 Naturally Apsirated 8 Forced Induction Even if you want a fun run, thats ok. Let us know and we will put in some other categories (not for competition). There is a participating workshop in evey state, results are posted nationally on the website. Full details are on the website. To enter the national comp, you need to register online at http:www.dynoshootout.com.au and you can pay online too (paypal cost is $55) Give it a go!!

Check the website specially set up for this event at http://www.dynoshootout.com.au
Its for the average joe blow too. There are currently 4 categories ... 6 Naturally Aspirated 6 Forced Induction 8 Naturally Aspirated 8 Forced Induction We are also thinking about cutting the 8 Naturally Aspirated category into two separate categories ie (1)6.0ltr and above (2)below 6.0ltr ie 5.7. This would make life a bit fairer and more average boys would be competitive. Have a look at the figures from the Holden Round 1 link. Apart from Mr 483rwkw, the rest are well within your scope. Have a go. If you end up at Clipsal its awesome being in the middle there. John KPMevents |

Forgot to mention it happens in a hosting workshop in every state at the same time.
So on the same day (10th May) in SA, QLD, NSW, VIC,WA they all have a Dyno Day and the results are posted on the wesite along with picys (if they get sent to me) Have a go ... John KPMevents (SA) |

i can safely say i won't be in attendance at this event- this time anyway, but just out of curiosity- if everyone is competing in different states, what about the variations in weather i.e- air temp\ density.
not trying to be difficult or anything, but i just wondered if the boys in a cooler part of the world would be getting an advantage to those in a more tropical area? or is it the 8 winners (4 ford, 4 of that other brand) then go through to the next round and compete gain? sorry if that sounds silly, just wondering.

Ive never thought of it like that. Would it really make a big difference?
Ultimately, the 4 winners in each category from around australia all meet at Clipsal at the same time. In the end, all are judged on a level playing field. The best will triumph. At this years Clipsal, ALL entrants were down by 20kw. We put it down to how they strapped the cars down (hydrolics). We (KPM) had no part in the dynoing of cars to be impartial.
