That's marginally worse than one a mate did at school, he had a discman velcroed to the dash! Later when he put in a cd h/u, the discman wouldn't come off, then all of a sudden RIP and a whole chunk of dash comes off with it... :

A tree trunk like that would make quite a solid enclosure, if it was done properly,
