Unhappy Scratches in car window

I found some scratches on my passenger window (probably thanks to my mother in law with a diamond ring) , can somebody give me some advice on how to remove them please?

They're pretty noticeable in sunlight....

Call someone in the yellow pages that deals with windscreens and they should be able to "buff" the scratch away.

My mate had this done to his car because his wiperblade came off and scratched his windcreen, it came up really good.

Mother in Laws are best removed with threats, taunts and the odd waved firearm.

Diamond rings can be removed with soapy water or in extreme cases smaller sized bolt cutters,

Hope this helps.

I am in the autoglass industry, if you can feel the scratch with your nail then the polishing will usually distort the glass. Most companies will charge $70+ for the service, Most glasses can be replaced with second hand parts for this price. You do the sums.

Sigh.....looks like I have to bear with it...

The scratches are too minor to justify $70+ (and risk some distortion) or a new window. Not sure how much a new window for a BA will cost, but either way the missus will kill me...

Next time, I'll use my other car if I have to cart the outlaws around.

Thanks for your comments, guys, much appreciated.
