Its a mega-drama cos hes famous. Without knowing the full story tho, we cant really comment.

Most of the stuff they do on Top Gear could inspire morons to drive in appropriate ways, all the power slides and smoking the rears. The rest of us take it for what it is, entertainment and inspiration to get out to the drags/drive days at our nearest race track.

300kms would be great in a veyron especilly with about a 1/4 more to come, 305 in NT a couple of years ago on a bike was good (warmed up Super Blakbird)

Driving over here in the UK is a different world to Australia

Everyone speeds here - not condoning it, just stating a fact

Set the cruise to 70mph which is the speed limit (113kmh) on the motorways and I get passed by 75% of traffic doing anywhere from 90mph to 110mph

Including diesel vans lol

But knowing the British press they just love to flame Clarkson

he wont be sued. He will simply retract his statement saying it was a lie for entertainment purposes. Most he will get is a slap on the wrist for saying something that could be considered anti-social in the respect that i may cause others to do it.

Wipe Off 5, or in Jeremy's case, Wipe Off 50....

As Jeremy being Irresponsible and Offensive!?!? He was born that way, and it is why he's probably got more more money than all the people he has offended put together....

And as for the BBC sacking him, won't happen. He means rating's, which means dollars....

It took me a while to adjust my driving down to a more sedate pace to suit the conditions 'down under'....

Thumbs up Jeremy and speed limits

I went to England in1997 and borrowed a Fiat Strada Arbath a 2 litre hatch when driving on the M25 it was posted 60 mph for trucks in the left lane only and 70 mph for the other 3 lanes I being used to our freeways sat on 70 and got passed by so I sat on 80 in the middle lane and still got passed so into the right lane at 90 mph and got passed on the left so I gave up

I thought he was referring to that episode on the Isle of Man where they tested the Vantage, M6 and 911 until I read it was a Veyron.

As for this Mary busybody, I find her offensive so maybe she's the one who should be banned from ever speaking out again :P

Well I demand the axing of the British Road Safety group Blake. I have found the comments by Mary Williams extremely offensive and irresponsible

What if a child heard her comments - wont someone think of the children and the mental anguish her comments may have caused.

Because we don't know the circumstances under which it was done and therefore aren't in a position to judge lest we be like this vile whinging woman with a face that resembles a bucket of smashed crabs.

*edited*

I'm so sick of these that are all controlling, all lording. Harold Scruby for instance should be publicly shamed for being a closet anti progressive socialist. Same as Brake and the pedestrian council. If you can't afford a nice car capable of a 0-100km time of less than 8 seconds, then maybe you should stop complaining about it to try and lower the benchmark and look at where you have failed in your life. If you are the only one with a problem, then logically it's not everyone else with the problem; it's you.

Clarkson for PM (not in the UK, I mean here).

Or maybe because driving fast simply doesn't equate to endagering other peoples lives, for a start there has to be other people in the vicinity.

"Wont somebody PLEASE think of the children.. "

Nah he is one of the best in presenters in the world, get over it, if you asked anyone what the max speed they actually travelled im sure many of us wouldnt have the cars (bikes excluded) to do 300 but certainly high 100s would have been travelled by a majority of drivers. Someone start up a anonymous graph thing..
