i went to Miedecke's today and took the new fg xr6 for a blat round the block up hr drive to the hway and back from the donut to the dealer the ride was the same the seats are higher its easier to get into but thats about it i don't like the center console and radio panel. and i bashed my head getting into the back.the speedo cluster is harder to read and your eyes get drawn to the climate control/radio screen at the top of the dash.
much prefer the ba/bf watch this space for news......

I could not disagree more. Work sent me down to melbourne for the master tech training on the FG and a few other cars and i thought the FG was an unreal car. It has alot more features that the you guys can play around with to make the car more customised to you that only we at the dealership could change on the previous models. The centre console is at just the right hight to rest you arm on if you want to use the manual shift, plus the new (not realy new but hey) 5 speed box is smoooth as. I so far have driven the xr6. g6 and g6e and they all are very drivable and have some good grunt. Dont even get me started on the outside, they are all hot cars. Dont get me wrong the ba/f models are both great cars too but the new FG is just a big step in the right direction. I just thought i would add my bit in from the ford employee side.
Cheers Brendan
