The AU is due for it's service shortly but because I now have the Unichip in, does that mean that services from now on need to be done on a dyno and tuned that way or can I continue to take it to my own mechanic or any other mechanic for normal servicing? (My mechanic doesn't have a dyno)
Basically, does having the Unichip affect how I should have my car serviced from now on? Krissy

No. Services Ford style involve the following:
Plug the diagnostic computer in. Read fault codes (if any). Address fault codes/advise customer Change Oil. Change filters (air/oil/fuelk) as required Change plugs as required Change filters as required Report on brakes/radiator/tyres/suspension etc. The I6s have a self diagnostic/self tuning program built in which constantly checks and corrects timing, advance etc, so there is really nothing to "tune" as such. Every service these days is more like a glorified oil change.

No worries. All part of the "service". Get it? lol.
Apparently, they won't even be able to pick up that it's been chipped (except when they drive it).
