Hi,
New to the forums, I was just wondering if anyone has used any replacement bulbs in their LS focus and what did they think? I've just blown a bulb on mine and it needs replacing, and was wondering what is out there besides the stock dealer parts that I know will cost a mint. Cheers, Anthony |

What bulb is it? Better off going to Autobarn or somewhere similar and getting those Phillips Blue vision ones. Heaps brighter, and as far as I know, can just replace the standard globes.

I have used Phillips Blue Vision bulbs. I paid about $120 for them, biggest waste of money as only lasted me 3 months
so i put my orginal headlight globes back in and it took 4 years to blow then I bought orginals again at $60 a side but well worth the money if they last that long

I have the 29.95 blue tinge headlights from Supercheap. They lasted me about a year and a half. Gives off a really white light, the foggies now look yellow in comparison.

if you want go to;
http://www.autolamps-online.com/index.htm They come from the UK, but ends up being cheaper than buying at auto-barn. I got my Phillips Diamond visions for $60 as opposed to $160 from auto-barn. But i just had a look and H4 globes are now $48. They look awesome and no problems yet after a year, friends had his in for two years. They are well bright too : |

Standard OEM headlights, which I think are a H7 bulb in the LS focus (correct me if I'm wrong)
I just want something that will give at least as good light, but don't want to be torn a new one by a dealer. |

Im not sure, but to me it seems that the standard bulbs in the LT do a great job and compared to other manufacturers standard bulbs they are very good. I just recently bought a pair of the phillips extreme bulbs for my other car and I tell you what.....the focus lights put up a very, very good fight, sufficient for me not to bother upgrading them. "Personally" to get a cheaper replacement bulb go for it and hopefully it will be okay, but to spend a lot more money on bulbs in the hope to improve the light significantly might be a waste.
