I just brought a new momo steering wheel for the au. Upon inspection some tool has already had the wheel of the car or at least tried!!!! The threads you put the pully bolts into are totally screwed. Has any one got any idea how I can get the existing wheel off without a pulley?? Why do people insist on doing things with incorrect tooling or the knowledge of how to use them. GRRRRR!!!!!

Be careful if you start whacking the steering wheel to get it off. Just under the dash the steering column is supported by two bolts that attached via plastic clips. So when in an impact they brake and the column collapses. Found out the hard way.

Never used a tool in my life. With the nut on still a few threads (so you dont slam yourself in the face) Seat back feet firmly up against the fire wall you straighten your legs and with all your might using arms back and legs you pull on the wheel changing pressure from side to side. As you do this the whole column will move and flex that muck you will think holy F@*k It's going to break and then it will let go with a vengence which is when you will thank me for the tip about the nut because without doing that hospital for stitches is a real possibility.
P.S. When I took mine off I noticed that ford had something like loctite on it. prob. flowed in from using on the steering wheel nut

I got the darn thing off..... Loctite you say.... anyone would think it was welded on if they just went through wat I did. lmao. But its done and how darn SEXYit looks too.
