I've just contacted AAMI, because I am moving to the west of Melbourne, they want to put my premium up another $100+. This is strange, becasue the car is now parked in a block of flats, under the flats, which no gates, or door. Where I am moving to, it will be parked in a garage.
Anyone recommend an insurance company? I'm not real keen on paying $890 a year.

You'll find that the insurance companies mainly care about the postcode that the car is parked in.
I am currently with AAMI, I tried CGU before that, but used to be with GIO for many years. My dad seems to get better rates with NRMA (not for me though). You can also try budgetdirect and see how that goes. I think Allianz costs more, but you are supposed to get choice of repairer and up to 3 years of new car replacement (instead of the usual 1 yr).
