Default Boss into AU.

Being trying to find some threads but not having much luck. Anyone point me in the right direction. Boss Motor into AU.

Can definitely be done just depends on how much you want to spend. Keep in mind that you would also more than likely have to do the gearbox swap too, as well as all the wiring.

The first prototype to run a BOSS was a heavily modified AU, I have a picture of it here somewhere.

I used to work with a bloke who put a BAI 290 BOSS into his AUIII XR8. His brother was an engineer and he had managed to pick up a complete written off BA GT for good money. Gave him a bit more power but turned the AU into a nose heavy pig.

Thats the offset - more power but more weight over the front end. The BA is built around that weight since it was designed with BOSS in mind but the AU isnt. I dont know what the difference in weight between a Windsor and a BOSS is but it would surely make a bit of difference.

Damn! For a complete engine with looms, and some tasty mods, plus tuner, plus T56 setup, that's an awesome price!

I wonder if the mrs would let me get another donor car for the wagon, that will then sit for a year and not be touched?!
