A dogs guts is a lot different to the humans, carnivors have straighter intestines, this why our system doesnt agree with meat eating, the meat stays trapped in all the twists and turns in a human on the way out. Stay cool the acids will break down the wood. Vets are way too expensive and prey on our emotional attatchment to our pets imho.Good luck in your forensic analysis of the "dog bombs".
