Wonder if the APS TT Boss will be able to induce wheelspin in 6th.
You need plenty of revs to get it going otherwise the clutch slips and you get the smelly burny clutch smell...happened a couple of times when you come up against some loud thing...cant hear or feel whats happening to your own car. The water at the burnout pad helps too but give it plenty and it will do it anyway :hihi:

Must of missed that bit in my manual, atleast when you cant hear or feel your own car the crowd wont know you buggered up seeing as the other thing probally layed a half track burnout.

Jeez you'd need atleast 45oo+rpm to try that wouldn't you.

Well I feel a little ashamed of my vehicle now after reading some of the people on here with 6's etc and they can get smoke from the line, my AU II XR8 auto with all the mod's, good for around 230kw will not smoke em from a standstill and the tyre's are nearly bald even, why oh why.

Last time up at Heathcote I was doing that in my stock 6cyl ute, about 3k dump the clutch and away you go. In the water on the burnout pad its no dramas whatsoever, I wouldn't do it elsewhere though. Heats up the tyres much better!

Yep. From Idle plenty of wheel spin. Not as bad now i have new tyres. Can't launch at anymore than idle at the drags without risking a total loss on the 1/4. 3:45 LSD, 3000A somthing tyres, 235 45 17 and whats in the sig below.

With your stall does that mean when you plant it from idle it revs to 2500 before launching?

My 351 with C10 would do a burnout 50 metres long without touching the brakes from a stop. That was good fun.
