Default AU questions

hey fellas i have two questions im looking for an answer for.

1. would a BA/F 6 speed manual fit up okay with an AU?

2. is it possible to have BA keys working with the AU?

i know they seem pretty basic questions but im wanting an AU 2 forte manual, but ive been searching for a while and they're hard to find so im thinking of just grabbing an Auto and doing the conversion.

cheers

Ring Mal Woods. He does 6speed conversions for Au 6's.
I know this for sure as he emailed me a quote the other day.

Mal is a top bloke. I've had dealings with in the past.
He is the best and I have to say at this point his prices reflect this.
He is prob the dearest around but he built me a 5 speed
many moons ago that never let go and I was throwin 600+hp
at it on a daily basis. So well worth the money as far as I'm
concerned.

2) No

from mal woods website its around 6k or more for the 6 speed manual conversion

if your just after a tough box
take a stock T5 to Hart Transmissions at Brendale and they will recon it for $1800ish and it will handle 400+hp no worries (called a T5G box and they have a few kicking around behind a few race car motors and other modified street cars)

the keys are the same for the AU2/3 and the BA but the keypads for opening the doors are different and not interchangable

the T5G id talk to BI6TIM on the forum he has one in his 400hp turbo ED falcon
or just ring Hart Transmissions (07)3881 2644

they change some bearings to a different type and machine a few bits here and there i think.. lowers the amount of float in the shafts or somthing from memory
