Cool Why is lawn mowing contagious?

Every time I mow my lawn, neighbors soon follow, why?

Get with the times man! Go n buy Emo lawn, it cuts itself!

You don't even have to buy it, just put a CD player out side and play My Chemical Romance, and leave you're daughters pants on the porch, it will turn itself!

Well , I mowed mine yesterday afternoon. I also heard a few mowers going after I finished mine. Yesterday was about the only sunny day we have had around here in a fortnight at least, reason everyone was getting out there and doing it while the weather was good.

It just makes you remember.

Oh crap, that's what I had to do. Lawnmowers aren't exactly silent, unless you have a manual one.

I'd have to say neighbourhood rivalry. It was rampant in my old street in Brisbane, Id be out there mowing, edging and hedging and then out with the air blower cleaning up the footpaths and driveway, and before I had finished, the rest of the blokes in the street were out washing cars and mowing. Personally I couldnt handle a good dry weekend with an overgrown lawn! It was usually the first order of business come saturday morning. Then onto washing the cars!

Surely I can be the only one can I? :yeees:

Because Kikuyu grows at about an inch an hour.

My Neighbour's house is for sale, so their lawn is manicured daily, but I and my other neighbour are growing our front lawns in a vein attempt to drive their price down.

That and they hear someone else's mower, which disturbs the relative peace and quiet, yet is a necessary task - and figure, mine needs doing too, so I might as well do it now and destroy their peace and quiet after they finish!

Mine barely grows at the moment ... but soon it will be time to crack the ride-on mower out ... just hope the bugger starts ... LOL

One thing about Summer I hate ... I have to mow our place nearly twice a week ... and I have a few goes at it depending on the time ... I need to get our miniature pony back from the in-laws ... at least I don't have to trim along the fenceline.

It usually works like that for me....but its due to the wife hearing THEIR mowers and nagging the crap out of me 'if they can cut theirs in this weather why cant you yadda yadda....' , and I shut her up

I only mow my lawns after the neighbours have had a massive party. Then I crank my mower at 7am on the dot.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
