Help NEEDED car surging..

Hi People,
I have a AU2 XR8 200kw. As of late it has started surging/missing at 3000rpm and it also has a squel that goes along with it. It is strange as when the car is cold it runs fine. As soon as it is hot at 3000rpm onwards it surges, sometimes it's only a mild surge other times it could rattle you out of your seat. I have taken it to 5 mechanic shops only to be told that yes it is strange and we have no idea. At there advise i have changed the spark plugs, Leads, Fuel Filter & Alternator.

Any ideas would be great or even the name of a good mechanic..

Seeing your around sydney. Id definatly sugest Joe at Cresent Motorsport at Liverpool. Hes extremely helpful and very easy to deal with. He's helped me out with my XR8 and he also Owns An AU s2 Xr8 as well.

Next question does anyone know i'f the MSD coil packs(Part No. 8421) off a 2000 explorer? I am aware that part of the XR8's motor was sourced from them, but am unsure if they have the clips on the spark plug leads.
